Sonshine Haven – Founder and Chief Executive Officer
. 1991 – Present
Founded in 1991, this organization offers children of all ethnic, socio-economic and religious backgrounds, an on-campus after school Bible classes and several off-campus outreach programs. Classes are open to all students without a fee. Our stories taught from the Bible emphasize moral and ethical values, how to treat people with respect, and how to love and support one another.  Sonshine Haven currently operates in 43 schools with commitment of 350 volunteers. We currently serve over 1,800 children in the community during the school year.  Our on-campus clubs started at one school and continues to expand throughout east and south San Diego county each year.  Club kids are also supported with our off-campus outreach events to teach them that they can have a successful and joy-filled life.  Our other events currently include Life Skills and Cinderella/Cinderfella Day, holiday meals for our club families for Thanksgiving and (our club kids receive gifts of clothing and toys).

Sonshine Haven offices are open Monday-Friday, 10am-4pm. Sonshine Haven has five part-time employees.  We have numerous volunteers that support the administrative, weekly clubs and our other events. Our diverse Board of Directors meets quarterly to discuss  program and financial needs.  The program structure, staff management and business management are my responsibility along with the Board of Directors.  Sonshine Haven is a non-denominational, non-profit organization.
