Smiles and high fives as we start back to Sonshine Clubs in January!

What we offer
Sonshine Haven provides 500+ elementary and middle school children in 21+ schools in seven school districts in San Diego County with free, faith-based after school clubs.  We also offer free Life Skills classes, Thanksgiving-in-a-Box and Christmas Adopt-a-Family to help our club kids and their families in need. We enjoy offering an overnight camp experience to our club kids in the summer at Indian Hills Camp.

 Sonshine & Higher Ground Clubs

If you would like to volunteer 2 hours a week to help bring Jesus to kids in East County, contact us!

We need 3-4 adults on each Sonshine/ Higher Ground Club team.

Do you have a fun skill you can teach to kids in an hour? Come join us for Life Skills this spring or summer

Ways to help:

Volunteer to teach/help in a class
Donate items for sonshine store
candy, games, small prizes, stuffed animals, things kids would like
Financial donation are also appreciated to help run the program. 

If donating please bring to Sonshine Haven before March 23rd.

Summer Camp 2026

Opportunity of a life time!!

Summer camp is a life changing event for kids in our Sonshine & Higher Ground Clubs.



If you would like to sponsor a child and give them this special opportunity that would make their summer!

Each kid can be sponsored for $400.



This special invitation will be given to 40 of our Sonshine &

20 of our Higher Ground kids.




Please pray that God will move mightily at camp and the kid's relationships with Jesus will be deepened and life long friendships will be made.

• Please pray that more volunteers will step forward with a heart to reach children for Jesus. 
• Please pray that we the staff and board with have wisdom and discernment for this new year/season.

Volunteer

We want to expand our clubs in more schools to help more children learn about the love of Jesus and become successful.  Join a Sonshine/Higher Ground club team, help in or lead a Life Skills class, donate items for a Thanksgiving meal or adopt a family at Christmas time.
