Week 4 of Life Skills starts tomorrow and clearly the kids have had a great time so far this summer! The pictures show a variety of classes we have offered showcasing the kids with big smiles. We had a visit from Treasure Chest on Thursday 7/11 that the kids and volunteers loved! There are fun things coming up in the final 2 weeks. We look forward to Water Day, visits from the CHP & Canine Unit on Tuesday 7/16 and Heartland Fire on Thursday 7/25 which is also our Carnival Day.
Thank you to everyone who donated to send our Sonshine Club kids to camp at Indian Hills last week! They had a life changing time full of fun and Jesus. Below are some pictures taken during the three days at camp.
Spring Life Skills was amazing! We averaged 70 kids a day! There were lots of fun classes to choose from including Shell Cross necklaces, fun with Echo the dog, exploring Butterflies, sewing and computers. There was also a service project where the kids made sock kits stuffed with hygene products that where donated to Rachel’s House and East County Transitional Living Center. We also had visits from the San Diego County Fair and Youth In Action. Thank You to all the volunteers that made Spring Life Skills possible! We couldn’t have done it without you!
